The village of San Juan de los Terreros is well known for its very safe, clean, sandy beaches which stretches right around the bay and make it safe for children and swimming.
The area has a very good mixture of nationalities, here you’ll find both, locals and holidaymakers passing the day together and is very popular with the Spanish people for a holiday destination making it very unspoiled. There are a handful of good beach bars along the promenade serving lunch, dinner, tapas and drinks. Also, the village offers supermarkets, hairdressers, medical center, sports facilities, shops and ice-cream parlors.
From June until September there is a weekly market selling clothes, shoes, fruits and vegetables plus a night market in the main square and all year round the weekly market is on Sunday.
Along the coast in either direction there are a host of other bays and beaches to explore and the views of the beautiful bay and surrounding mountains are spectacular from the rocky headland its 18th century castle. This is the ideal place where to spend holiday or, if you are lucky enough, for all year round living.
